The Grocers’ are one of the oldest of the great 12 livery companies.
Naked Creativity were appointed through a competitive tender process to redevelop the company’s website, but the project evolved to include the hall hire brochure and eventually a complete overhaul of identity and graphic style.
With an extensive charitable foundation, a large membership, as well as a commercial venue hire – the new website needed to satisfy a varied audience.
Whilst the company had an existing identity that was used alongside the centuries-old coat of arms; this project was an opportunity to update the visual style and apply this across the entire organisation.
The final identity is built around the coat of arms, developing this as a background pattern that provides a detail in print or online. The simple typography and precise grid underpin both online and offline designs to offer a consistency throughout.
Like many livery companies, the Grocers required a member login capability and a solution that would offer a marked improvement from their previous website. Naked Creativity’s Memb.rs platform offers that – an off-the-shelf, highly customisable and secure members area platform.
The website is edited with Cee.ms, our easy-to-use content management system, but other smaller touches make this even simpler – one example being the automated Facebook import to populate the member news.
