Order Fulfilment App

Web-based, mobile optimised, application for managing print fulfilment orders

Captain Cyan is London’s fastest large-format print service. Alongside their consumerfacing website and high street shop, Captain Cyan provide order fulfilment for several vendors on platforms such as Notonthehighstreet.com and Etsy.

These fulfilment customers send bespoke artwork along with a branded despatch note for each order. The print and despatch process was previously handled manually at Captain Cyan, resulting in some errors, delays and reprints at busy times.

In order to reduce these errors, Naked Creativity developed a bespoke order fulfilment application. The app uses the Meteor platform to provide a synchronised view of current orders between all devices.

Fulfilment customers now upload their despatch notes and the artwork for each order directly to the system, selecting the necessary delivery service, product type, and product size. Where provided, this information is also read directly from the uploaded filenames.

Thanks to the Meteor platform, the Captain Cyan team always have an up-to-date view of every order’s status.

On mobile devices, the app uses the in-built camera as a barcode scanner to quickly locate orders, and despatch them. It also scans Royal Mail or courier barcodes to add tracking information automatically to applicable orders.

“This new order fulfilment app is already saving us time and money. It reduces the chance of packing errors by showing visual confirmation of each print.

As our fulfilment customers upload their orders directly in, we also ensure we have all the correct order information to hand, before we print.”
