A well structured and user friendly website design with an online donation form

Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB) is a unique UK-based charity which identifies and protects children who have been separated from family members. This could be due to a number of factors such as abduction, asylum, conflict, and trafficking.

Naked Creativity were approached by CFAB to completely re-design their website to make it more usable for members of the public as well as child protection professionals.

The previous website was poorly structured making it difficult to navigate and find information. The re-design began by looking at the information architecture, considering how the information is laid out and the order it is presented in. A well structured menu with clear sub-menus that are consistent on each page was a good starting point for this. As the structure was re-built, a new look was also provided, revamping it’s tired image.

As with any charity, donations are significant, so it was important to make the donation process as easy as possible for members of the public visiting the website.

The website re-design was well received by CFAB who have had positive feedback during their pre-launch review. The new website will go live in early 2012.
